We had a Sunday birthday lunch at the Baker Arms and cant speak highly enough of the welcome and service we received. From the time we booked the staff ensured our needs were met – re menu choices ect. We were a group of 12 including 3 children. The table was laid complete with birthday confetti and the children were well catered for with child size cutlery, kids choices and drinks. Our meals were all beautifully presented and so tasty! The young lady serving us was helpful and very knowledgeable – explaining the local beers and wine choices. Over all we would highly recommend this as a great pub and place to eat.

Although the staff were super friendly and helpful and our dog was made very welcome, it was a bit disappointing that only a cold Mediterranean buffet type lunch was available due to chef not being available due to Illness. However, it was super tasty and the beer was good. There is a beer garden but we didn’t see this.

4 generations of our family from 3 to 93, came here recently for lunch – delicious home cooked imaginative food, friendly knowledgeable service, can-do attitude, welcoming and helpful – the kids were especially cared for. I wish every pub was like this!

Having just walked Hambledon Hill and Hod Hill with a different pub lunch planned, where we couldn’t get in, with the help of Google Maps and the car we found The Bakers Arms. Here the welcome, from staff and a chap comfortably settled at the bar, was friendly and the wood-burner was welcome warmth after the cold outside.

The Bakers Arms in Child Okeford is a wonderful little village pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to its visitors. The quality of the food is fantastic and the pub offers excellent booth seating by a cozy fire. When you drop in we highly recommend trying the burgers, they are delicious. The Bakers Arms offer great support to the local community, this was evident by the Phesantfest which was a fantastic and well supported community day. We love that the pub is a dog friendly pub also!
