Love that it’s near the sea. The price is low for food and drink. Restaurant area small but quaint. Enclosed garden with small play area, perfect for families. Right next to beach. Outdoor seating and separate bar area. Staff friendly and efficient. The reason for a lesser star is that the food was OK. Wasnt exceptional and wasn’t poor. It was hot and nice but the chips were frozen chips. I’d have expected authentic beach side chips. Though I knew the food wouldn’t be absolutely amazing due to the amount of food options on the menu. There is no way you can have that many options and they be all fresh. But like I said prices good and families welcome and staff lovely.

Have been here a few times and never had a bad visit. The fish basket is a MUST, the best batter hubby and I have ever tasted. So light and fluffy yet still has a good crunch.Once in the mouth it literally melts!

Visited for a drink and some lunch. No staff visible so we found a table and looked through the menu. Having decided what to order, I waited at the bar for a good 5/6 minutes more when a staff member appeared. Our table was quite sticky and regrettably was not cleaned before our meal was served. Our lunches were typical pub grub and of good quality.

We always stop here for lunch on the way to our holiday in Camber Sands. The food is always freshly prepared and tasty and the staff are always very friendly. We’ll be back next year.

Came with my elderly grandmother who ordered the steak and kidney pie. Her review is that the pastry was dry and hard to cut. When she alerted the waitress that her food was inedible and quote: “disgusting” she received no apology or attempt to reimburse her despite spending £50+ on our tables collective meals.
