Very affordable pub with massive portion sizes! The food and service were great, only little complaint is with the cleanliness (sticky table and glasses with marks on them).

I’m not person for pub meals, but the gammon meal deal tasted nice plus you have others meals available. Monday to Friday at £11.99 for two adults meal you just can’t beat the price.

This pub had nice food for a very cheap and affordable price. They have online ordering available and have lots of choices on their menus as well as lots of promotions. My kids enjoyed their meal. It’s well located and convenient for canal boaters.

A beautiful sunny day at this canal side pub. Very busy and perhaps a little understaffed, but not enough to spoil our enjoyment. Due to the great weather we sat outside, but the interior of the pub looked a pleasant place to be if the weather was less good. The reason the place was so popular on a midweek late afternoon? Sensible pricing of the drinks. We paid some £4 less than expected for a pint of quality lager and a large glass of white wine, at £8.14 it was like stepping back in time!

Came in today for lunch. The food was perfect and the service provided was outstanding. It’s rare to see toilets in a pub to such high standards. The autumn decor was beautiful and I loved the grinch themed Christmas display. Would 100% recommend and can’t wait to come back again. I asked for the managers name and was told her name was Emma, she should be very proud of the business she is running.

We went here during our narrow boat holiday. It’s a greene king pub so you kind of know what you’re getting. Cheap beer and big food portions. Ordering on the app was easy. Plenty of screens to watch sport. Service was good. Covid protocols in action. Let down by several clientele being quite loud and sweary during the early evening when there were families present. Unchallenged.

We booked a table here for the great looking menu. On arrival we were informed that the menu was somewhat limited. However we each managed to find something with which we were happy.

We came by boat. Looks are very deceiving. From the outside by the canal I thought it looked OK. But once inside… My goodness. Lovely staff. Lovely pub and amazing food and prices. It’s even very dog friendly. Thank you we will be back to visit on our journeys

Food is to die for beer is good, fantastic ambience but be careful of the tobasco scorpion sauce it was enough to make four grown men cry!! Had a great time here, only drawback was not enough staff to bus tables in a safe manner ( food and plates were left on tables and on floor but it’s the customer who should keep their area clean in all fairness). A good time had all round and the surrounding view is beautiful. Hats off to the chefs who cooked our food to perfection ❤️
