The staff here were cold, contemptuous, and bordered on rude when my partner and I visited. We are in our late 20s and it was obvious to both of us that the staff looked down their nose at us based on our age and appearance, as other customers who were older than us were given a different level of service. We have pledged never to go back. Do not recommend.

Cannot understand why a shop like this that is lgbtq friendly but is not disability friendly as my friend was in at the weekend and was very ill and they did not help her at all just left her sitting there for 2 hours on her own and would not help or call an ambulance for her I had to go and pick her up and take her to a&e myself as she did not know where she was and no one there would help her absolutely disgraceful service.

We were very excited to receive a birthday gift voucher to go to curds and whey So in February we had a late lunch, this was our cheese and meat board with lots of bread! it was £30 we were disappointed and the wine was very expensive too!! our first visit not great!

4 pieces of cheese .. not that big.. 2 small packs of biscuits £42 ! It had better be very very good.. rating so far, 3 * , too expensive and server devoid of any goodwill, I felt like I was inconvenience to him.

It is a lovely place and the waiters are friendly. We had 2 kirs and some nibbles and everything was delicious. We went there another time inside and it was equally good. Recommended.

We enjoyed an impromptu evening here tonight, we were served by Alex (her first time managing front of house for the wine bar too) . Alex is super knowledgeable and friendly Plus the cheese is stunning with a great selection of veggie cheeses too. They also a vegan selection if that’s what you’re after. Thanks again Alex!

Superb cheese selection! Lots and lots to choose from. Very friendly staff who are very knowledgeable about their products and very happy to help. Try the cheeses before you buy to make sure you like them. Lots of choice of crackers/biscuits for cheese, lots of wines and there is also a fridge section with artisan salami and some other cured meats. The shop is on the main road and there are double yellow lines everywhere so difficult to park. Plenty of paid for parking in side streets and plenty of buses to get you there by public transport. We’ve been following the shop on social media for a while and really wanted to visit, so glad we did. We’ll be going back early December to get our Christmas cheeses. Highly recommended.

Cheese and wine were delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A £10 corkage fee, however, seemed well over the top when we were drinking wine bought on the premises….. The irony was, it was a screw top!
