Social Profile :

Blackrose is a new concept of pub management. The unique way in which we are funded provides us with the ability to react positively and quickly to business opportunities and new investments. We are a start-up business but already have hundreds of years industry experience, with team members who have grown with the industry and worked from the ground up. Together we share a vision and ambition to create great experiences and great pubs across the UK. Through our core belief in traditional pub values we are creating an expert-led business and acquiring locations that, through capital development and our culture, people will want to return to again and again. We’re pub people, it’s what we love to do.

I used to live at the North Seaton Hotel for the first 18 years of my life, my parents ran this beautiful Victorian hotel that had letting bedrooms a restaurant a function room catering for over 100 covers and 4 separate bars the building was built in 1901 as a Victorian coaching Inn and I was lucky enough to live there in the 80s it used to be a proud building with all sorts of Victorian features, stables hay loft old traditional items such as stained glass windows, I could go on about its beautyNow is just been over painted in gloss paint, known by its nickname the elephant, all the former areas are derilect only the bars are operating, its just a boozer now, what a shame, it could be so much more perhaps the current owners are just letting it fall into such bad repair that this grand old Victorian lady once a proud hotel will be demolished? it’s so sad, it should of become a listed building

Great colleagues who truly support each other and work hard under difficult circumstances. The senior leadership really need to stop driving this company into the ground. Could go back to the glory days if they just let the excellent staff work freely to achieve their goals. If the team were profitable year on year without your intervention and are now behind target after your intervention perhaps it is time to realise that draconian measures do not work. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it.
