Totally French service, food, wine and prices…
Great staff so helpful & happy steak was tough but fish cakes were delicious
Mashed potato was bland and only two small potatoes served with salmon.
Very nice place with nice staff and the food was excellent and well very well priced with the deal on. Apart from the fact they had ran out of numerous items, I couldn’t fault the place and was probably one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had!Very good indeed will definitely go back again!
Not where we were planning to go, but mighty glad we did! This resturant is situated just opposite the grand pier, we were warmly welcomed and asked if we had a reservation, as this was a last min change of plans, we did not, but that was not a problem as we were quickly taken to a table up stairs, on the way the covid 19 one way system was explained and a poster by reception said all staff had been fully vaccinated, reassuring to know! The food was excellent and views across the beach as the evening drew in topped of a perfect meal. Great job
So much potential, a great location on the seafront, modern premises with probably one of the best locations for footfall in the town. Nice clean seating and tables, clearly defined seating area and a reasonable drinks menu but that’s really all the positives I’m afraid. Any business involved in the hospitality industry will stand and fall on it’s service.Sadly Bistrot Pierre fell short on that count today. It took the best part of ten plus minutes to get a drinks menu, and then over thirty minutes before we were asked what we’d like. In this time at least two other tables left. Well not tables of course, two couples sat at different tables. We ordered a gin with rose petal & raspberry soda with the promise of fresh raspberries and a pint of Camden Hells lager; nothing too strenuous. A further fifteen or so minutes later and the gin with soda arrived accompanied by fresh strawberries (not ideal with raspberry and rose petals soda) plus the pint of Hells. After nearly an hour we opted against anything from the food menu. I hope ours was an isolated experience, however other customers weren’t happy to wait, with 5 staff members and only 4 outside tables occupied we did wonder why it took so long to get served and to get our drinks. Better luck next time, maybe.
